Johnno’s Dead scores an awards hat-trick
Johnno’s Dead, the sequel to Chris Shepherd‘s Bafta-nominated animation Dad’s Dead, has won three awards at three separate festivals in the past week. The first prize was awarded at the Brest European Short Film Festival with Johnno’s Dead taking home the Shorts TV Award OVNI Competition. This was followed by Best Animation award at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival as well as Best Animation at the Crystal Palace International Film Festival.
The three awards take the animation’s awards haul to five awards in total.
Johnno’s Dead was written and directed by Chris Shepherd, produced by Autour de Minuit in co-production with Polkadot and had funding from Arte France and CNC.
