

ABOUT
Emmy-nominated filmmaker for In The Cold Dark Night, editor on Oscar and BAFTA-nominated Virunga , Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated The Serpent and lead editor on Disney+ Star Wars series The Acolyte.
Born in Finland Miikka Leskinen trained at the National Film + Television School (UK). He is a member of BAFTA and British Film Editors. He is represented by United Agents.
Miikka's editing spans feature films, TV drama and documentaries that have won over 100 international awards. He has worked with Oscar-winning filmmakers (Orlando von Einsiedel, Joanna Natasegara, Leonardo DiCaprio) and leading production companies including Lucasfilm, Imagine Entertainment, Mammoth Screen and Bad Wolf. The productions have been in official competition at Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival, broadcast on the BBC, HBO, Sky, ITV, Film4, ABC, Canal+ as well as streamed on Disney+, Netflix and Hulu.
Miikka has written and directed several award-winning short films. He also served as the writer, co-director and editor on the ABC/Sky feature documentary In the Cold Dark Night for which he received an Emmy-nomination for Outstanding Writing.
Miikka is based in London but works internationally.
